Our Housing Coalitions are diverse community groups committed to safe, accessible, and affordable housing across the Tri-County communities with representation from several organizations and agencies including the Tri-County Women’s Centre, Juniper House, SHYFT Youth Services, Mental Health and Addictions Services, Public Health Services, SchoolsPlus, Municipalities and Towns, Senior Safety Services, Co-Op Housing, Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women, Society of our Lady Saint Mary, Western Regional Housing Authority, and many more.
1. To create awareness and understanding of housing issues; 2. Identify and engage all interested stakeholders to address housing issues; 3. Identify and apply best practices to address housing needs and services; 4. Explore and advocate for rules and regulations that create safe, affordable and accessible housing.
